Garage Door Repair Guys is a trade name of Nm services and More LLC. What we collect

When you fill in a form on this site we collect only what we need to call you back and schedule the work: your name, your phone number, and — if you choose to give them — your email address, your city, the service you need and a description of the problem. We also record the date and time, the page the form was sent from, and the IP address and browser it came from, as a record of the submission. We do not collect payment card details on this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Why we collect it

To contact you about the service you asked for, to send a technician to the right place, to give you an estimate, and to keep a record of your request.

SMS text messaging

Our text messaging program is called Garage Door Repair Guys Service Notifications. It is a service program, not a marketing program. We use it to send appointment confirmations, technician updates and estimate follow-ups about work you have asked us about.

What we collect for SMS, and why. To text you we need your mobile phone number and your consent. We collect consent with a separate, optional checkbox on our forms. The checkbox is unchecked when the page loads and you have to check it yourself. We record whether you checked it, the date and time, the page you were on, the IP address and browser, and the exact wording of the consent statement that was on screen, so that we can always show how and when consent was given. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or of receiving any service from us. If you leave the box unchecked your request still goes through and we still call you back; we simply do not text you.

Message frequency varies. You will normally receive messages only around an appointment or an open estimate. Message and data rates may apply.

How to opt out. Reply STOP to any text message from us and we will stop texting that number. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed and no further messages after that. Reply HELP for help, or call (941) 206-0916. We do not share your mobile number. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Who we share information with

We share your details only with the people who need them to do the job: our own technicians and office staff, and the service providers that run our website, phone system, email and customer records on our behalf. Those providers may use the information only to provide that service to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your mobile number or your SMS consent with anyone for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep service records for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet our legal and tax obligations. SMS consent records are kept for as long as the number is on our list, and afterwards as proof that consent was given and later withdrawn.

This site uses cookies and standard analytics to understand how visitors use the pages and to measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site works without them.

Your choices
